Keraleeyaayurvedasamajam is one of India’s first charitable organizations. Keraleeyaayurvedasamajam was founded under combined efforts and supervision of princely states of Malabar and Kochi in the year 1902. The aim was to reach the cure, knowledge and benefit of Ayurveda to the common man. Samajam, always stands for the genuine traditional Keraleeya system of Ayurveda treatments. A charitable trust registered under the Charitable Societies Act XX1 Of 1860, has been accredited as one of the best places for Ayurveda treatments as well as for learning the Indian system of medicine. Samajam is the singular organization that can claim solid tradition of over a century in Ayurveda.
A revolutionary decision was taken by the Zamorin of Calicut ManavikramaEttan Raja in the year 1902 to establish Samajam at Chalappuram in Kozhikode.It was named as "Arya Vaidya Samajam". I arrived at Samajam on Oct 30, 2019. I came here from Calgary, Canada, at the suggestion of my daughter who has been here before. I had injured both of shoulders (rotator cuff and bicep tear) and was told could manage my plain through was an alternative solution. On the first day, l was medically assessed including blood work. Treatment began that day with Podikkizhi (Dry massage) followed by Upanaham for my shoulders. This treatment lasted 7 days and was followed by 7 more days with oil added to the first treatment. For the final 7 days I had NAVARKKIZHI for total body and continued Upanaham without being wrapped. Each of these external treatments was supplemented by internal medicines in liquid from at specific times of the days. Samajam is unique location where peace and tranquility supplement the treatment. For me the food was exceptional and the food supervisor went out of the way to ensure satisfaction. Doctor’s checked in morning and evening every day and was very thou cough in their assessments and foe giving feedback. Administration staff were very efficient and accommodation as well as friendly. The treatment team that worked with me are amazing individuals. Their skills and knowledge are exceptional and I felt an immediate trust bond with each of them. Their care and passion always a priority. I believe that healing has an energetic element and the energy. I shared with my team through honors and after care was exceptional. I was born and raised in Western culture in Canada. The concept of holistic healing is still somewhat on the fringe of healthcare. My experience at Samajam and the Ayurvedic Philosophy has been 100% positive with results I don’t believe I would have achieved through western treatment.
